Keeping up
Sometimes life pushes us into corners until we make some long overdue decisions. You'll think I'm crazy to say this but honestly, making those decisions is the easy part. The difficult part is sticking to them.
I've had to make a few of those decisions lately. The biggest one being letting go of people who had overstayed their welcome. As easy as it is to say this, it feels just as impossible to do it in real life: don't make your whole life about a person. There's nothing more important in life than to be independent. No one is more important than you and nothing comes before your health and happiness.
Another decision was to be more productive and use my time wisely. That's how I started blogging, studying and playing the ukulele. It doesn't take a lot for me to write but just getting myself to get off Netflix and on here is exhausting. Studying is always the last thing on my mind so you can imagine how that goes. Lastly, learning the ukulele is painful at times when I just can't strum, play a chord, or my shoulders hurt.
However, for the first time in my life, I've pushed myself so hard. That's the thing about being cornered, you realise how terrible it is to be made to feel that way. It gets you motivated like never before and you exceed even your own expectations. So, don't shy away from making mistakes, we're humans and that's what we do. But make sure you learn from your mistakes and grow.
