Beauty as I understand.

What's that one thing you've always wanted to change about your body? I wished I was taller. Until I realised I wanted a better figure too. Over the years, I tried so many things to bring about those changes right from cycling and playing basketball to drinking complan. I couldn't do much about the figure part other than just  working out at the gym and eating better.

After I had gotten all of that covered, puberty hit me quite late precisely when I had started travelling a lot for college. I ended up with terrible skin. So I began wanting to have a better skin too. One that wasn't covered with breakouts, whiteheads, blackheads, acne and didn't have an oily texture. I applied creams, gels, used charcoal soaps and what not.

Worst of all was when my terrible eating habits caught up with me and my hair began to shed in hundreds everyday. The first time I was compelled to go bald, it hurt me. Probably one of the most painful things I've ever had to do cause how can a girl even look like a girl without her hair? The second time, I never even thought I'd have to do it again and so it hurt all the more to let them go. But I knew I had so much more important things to focus on.

Lets not even get started on how much I wanted to gain some weight so that people would stop calling me malnourished. But I just couldn't cause my body had always been skinny and continues to be. My point being, no matter what you change about your body, at the end of the day you'll find something new to change about it. It's a circle. A circle that we've been conditioned to walk in because of the photoshop age that we live in today.

So if you want to stop walking in circles, let yourself be; let your body be. Dress however you want to, but don't dress just to cover up your insecurites. Apply how much ever makeup you want, but don't apply makeup just to paint over your flaws. Everything about you is what makes you who you are and that's beautiful. Everyone is beautiful in their own ways, stop trying to live up to somebody else's standards.

Eat healthy, live freely, and more than anything else don't judge. Be positive about your body and about others'.
